Hi all

Has anyone tried to fit golf clubs in a 2nd gen (new) Mini? I know they won't fit with the driver / woods in but does the bag and irons go in the boot?

Am after a second car for getting to and from the station (plus for golf!) and considering a Cooper S.

Cheers

Nick

I have a mini, but don’t play golf. It is exceeding unlikely IMO just from looking at my boot.

Flip one of the back seats down and it will fit fine. The boots barely deep enough for a golf bag sideways if its even wide enough.

Put them on the front seat. Don’t see a problem

The real question is, will a mini fit in a golf club...

I assume OP doesn’t want them on show hence would need seats up.

He better tint the windows or buy a blanket then.

For info re front seat or seats down answers the plan would be to leave them in the boot so I can nip off to the range spontaneously!

Don't want them getting kicked on show!

Your going to struggle to find that sort of space in anything smaller than a focus/golf sized car then. Even then thry are going to take up alot of your useable boot space.

A Golf brolly doesn't even fit in the boot!

Planned practice is required with a Mini (or risk em on show smile )

I can get my road bike in my R56 MINI (2nd Gen) with the front wheel removed.

If you have the Darkened Rear Glass they wont really be on show.

They fit in the boot of a Mini Coupe and they do a Cooper S version of that. Though you will only have two seats.

I flip down one rear seat, or sometimes put them in the front passenger footwell leaning back against the seat.

Given my clubs didn't fit in my F10 5 series I'm not too surprised.*

And yes, a Mini Cooper S fits in very well at a Golf Club, just make sure you have V-Power on board and Sport mode engaged for the approach to the car park.

  • before anybody questions the enormity of my golf bag it's a ghetto set up involving a Callaway bag, Ping Titanium woods and Titleist irons which all came in under £50 on ebay. so far from flash!

I have a R55 Clubman and with the seats down it’s like a little van.

My golf clubs and trolley fit in with no issues.
