Thanks.

You’ll need to look for the dealership, or parent company quarter end, not the quarter end for Mini or BMW.

You should be able to find out from their website if a PLC (investor pages) or Companies House if not.

That's useful thanks.

What sort of discount would one expect to get at the moment?

Bought my 2018 F56 3 door Cooper S at a year old ex demonstrator from Listers Boston inc heated cream lounge leather, 7 speed dsg, HUD, professional nav, Harmon Kardon, lapis blue, 17" propeller spoke alloys, heated front screen that I can think of. New was £30k plus paid nearly 40% less.
It had been reduced by £1k day before I went to look at it-but still gor 2 year service inc in price
No experience but think might get £3-4K of pretty basic spec Cooper S - why would you buy new?

I got a good chunk off a clubman recently by using Carwow and then phoning around. Worth a few calls. Dealer who won my business was 100 miles away so a small trek but worth it for the savings

Platforms such as Carwow provide good ammunition in negotiations on many normal production new cars & you’d be surprised how aggressive some dealers will be to not only meet targets, but also exceed them, especially if you take finance as they often make more on finance commission - don’t rule out taking finance initially as you could get extra discount & then pay it off a month or so later.

Carwow gave some good prices, but our local dealer couldn’t (wouldn’t) match, even after I pointed out the £3K contribution that they were meant to contribute £1K towards. In the end, after a weekend in a Mini Convertible we didn’t take it any further as we decided to keep the current Golf convertible.

You may be out of luck with getting an end of year bargain as many manufacturers are insisting that their dealers don't register ICE cars for the remainder of the year, only electric.

Depends on how their bonus is all set up though, they may be being incentivised for Q1 registrations now.

I've got an amazing contact through a uk dealer - feel free to PM me.
His discounts on new are untouchable.

fyi - last week there was a 6.9% used APR on ex demo or pre-reg minis (if you asked). So not a bad time to buy nearly new.
They're all pretty desperate tbh... which is understandable considering.

Nearly new is the way to go if poss, I bought a 68 reg Clubman Cooper S at 6m old with 500 miles on it, good spec inc latest auto box. Bought at end of quarter from Park Lane Mini, paid £19,750 with list price at brand new of over £29k with the spec, they even delivered it for free to get it off their site.

That was April last year, car was like brand new, still going strong!
