Any news on the Countryman PHEV suspended deliveries/Recall

I was expecting a new Countryman PHEV that was due to be delivered today but was put on 'hold' last week due to a technical issue about which the dealership say they knows nothing. However a quick search on Google shows the there is a worldwide BMW recall due to the risk of battery fires (remember the Samsung Galaxy Note that was prone to self-immolation? Well apparently they make the Mini battery in question). Anyone have any information or heard anything whatsoever about what is happening to fix this and any timescales?
