Anyone taken it out?

Would cost my wife around £292 or £350 inc Roadside but we have the AA for that.
At first glance it seems OK covering gearbox, engine internals, turbo etc but doesn't cover any brake items, clutch etc.

17 plate Cooper - 3 cylinder turbo - only 9000 miles currently, insurance is always a gamble and the insurance companies wouldn't do it if they were making money but a worthwhile buy or gamble or is the car going to be reliable? Replacing a turbo would be more than £350.

And what are they like for paying out?

Interested to hear the views of anyone who's bought it

thanks

I had it on my 66 plate Mini. Never any issues with claims and it saved me thousands. Personally I would not own a modern mini without it. Sold the car in the end as was fed up with the dealer having it more than me.

Sounds like you had a baddun
With wifes car only on around 9500 miles is it safe to risk not having it?
A blown turbo would cost more than the annual charge. Think we'll risk it and put the premium in the theoretical tea pot

Cannot speak highly enough about the insured warranty. We have saved approximately 5 grand over the last 7 years on our 2 minis.

Hi, my turbo went on my 15 plate Cooper SD with 50k last month. Charge to fix with all additional parts recommended? £7258! After some wrangling I got this down to £3900 but even so that is an extortionate amount of money to pay and I wish I'd bought the warranty...
