Service costs and intervals for 2019MY Clubman Cooper S?

I have a 68 reg (2019MY) Clubman Cooper S which is just coming up to 2 years old. Having spoken to the local main dealer the quoted service intervals and costs are as follows:
2 years old - minor service - £282
3 years old - brake fluid - £111
4 years old - major service - £545
Total cost over next 2 years - £938
These sound expensive to me but I have not had a mini before, any thoughts appreciated?
They have also offered a service plan which, in a nutshell, you pay in monthly instalments over the next 2 years and total cost is £640 to include these services so saving about £300. Obviously this is linked to this dealer but that is not an issue as they are local (don't want to travel miles just to save a few quid). Do about 8k miles a year and plan to keep the car for a while.

Doesn’t seem to bad to me...if bought from new and sold at 5 years old it’d have cost the same £938...that’s a little over £180 a year, for main dealer servicing. The first service is basically just an oil change and micro filter though.. Not having the micro filter changes saves around £60 from memory, having had our 2018 (bought new) Cooper S Clubman serviced in August, but I went ahead with it anyway
Edited to add, I didn’t ask the price of a major service (though I think it’ll show you prices on the MINI app if it’s due a service) but that’s roughly what I paid for a minor service

Get the car serviced by an independent mini specialist until the warranty runs out, then service it yourself.
Failing that be prepared to get well and truely ripped off by your friendly BMW dealer.
I've got the last new Mini I will ever buy, never again. in fact I even hate getting the warranty work done by them.

By comparison, my Mk7 2015 Golf GTD went in for its first service after 18k at Martins VW Basingstoke, costing a grand total of £184 inc. courtesy car.
It's fair to say that this, plus a number of spec/quality issues, means I shan't be leasing or owning another MINI in future.

BMW/Mini call it new car tax on the services. Fourth year things get cheaper. I've always paid around £300 for the first service which includes a 520d, M140i and 420i.
Actually cost more to service the Qashqai which is £160 year one and £220 year two, its why I added the service plan on the PCH.

I said this to my mrs the other day. The first service on the Cooper S was £149(oil and filter and microfilter) at the main dealer. Whereas the first service on the Mercedes GLC350d(oil and filter and microfilter) was £400! I paid the same price for a V8 Mustang as well.
The brake fliud on the Cooper S was also only £81 at the main dealer. Both my Mini services were a fair bit cheaper than the OP for a car that shares the same engine I reckon.

From the 4th year onwards I think the servicing is reasonable. My local specialist couldn’t be more than a fraction cheaper on servicing and was actually dearer on brake pads so I’ve kept using my dealer.
