F56 Media screen issue

Hope someone out there can help , earlier this week whilst on holiday in the south of England we bought our daughter a Cooper D F56 ( i know a stick of rock would have probably been a little cheaper ) , anyway i drove the car 100 miles to our accommodation using just the radio and the phone function , no problem , lovely drive and blown away with the lights and the tech. from the media screen .
Yesterday i drove the car home 180 miles this time using the media to play music from I phone and the phone function , again very impressed by the technical features and couldn't wait to give the car the our daughter.
Wash a clean the car ,, give her the keys and now the media pack will not work and is constantly turning itself on and off and trying to reboot with the Mini logo, the reversing sensors work and the rear car image shows but the halo light doesn't illuminate.
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
