Mini-Clubman rear doors jammed/will not open

Hi has anyone had this problem,my ladyfriend has a 2009 Mini-Cooper, Clubman(she thinks shes L Hamiltons sister,loves it) any way turned up at my house today to mow my lawns and could not open rear doors either with the remote system or by hand, have been inside trying to gain access to mechanisim can I take off the door inside covers easily with the doors closed? any basic info greatly appreciated, then she can get mower out and cut my lawns for me,hopefully, by the way all access doors are working on remote keys and opening no probs, cheers, charliebuster64

The inner panels just pull off - no screws to undo

The lock motor in the drivers side barn door has failed. I think I paid £50-60 for a new OEM one on eBay.

Some forums advocate replacing both motors, but I only did one as the drivers side gets more use.
