Mini Extended Warranty: worth it?
Discussion
As the title says, I'm approaching the end of the 3 years warranty. Looked at the quote for an extended warranty - a comprehensive cover with £100 excess per claim with breakdown cover works out just over £500 per year. Seems a bit steep and **touch wood** I've only had to get a faulty boot seal leak repaired, the car has been running great.
What's people thoughts on whether it's worth paying for the extended warranty? Or am I better off just putting the money aside for a repair fund?
FYI, my car is a 2017 JCW with 19k miles.

It is a difficult question to answer. We have had it on our previous minis. One a 2010 Cooper s had around £6000 of warranty work over 3 years paid through it. I’ve just renewed mine on a 64 plate Cooper sd with 67000 miles on at £527. It is a piece of mind thing really. My experience is that it’s really easy to claim.

It's a bit of a gamble either way. I've never bothered before with extended warranties and just put funds aside for repairs as and when it's needed and it's worked out fine. I've done a bit of research and the F56 JCWs owners have reported that it's been pretty reliable.
I've got until end of the month to decide.
