2011 Cooper SD

New to me Cooper SD. All 4 Glow plugs had failed, had a spare control module, which made no difference so replaced the glow plugs.
One snapped in the head. What an absolute ball ache of a job!!
Cooling fan replaced already and the clutch and flywheel look like they be due sooner rather than later. Is it worthwhile doing the chains while the gearbox and flywheel are out?
Love the car though and when sorted I think that whilst it has plenty of power a remap is on the cards. Any recommendations?
