Hi, Ive booked a couple of hours ramp hire locally as my Clubvan is nearing an MOT and the handbrake is a bit slack. to help me get the right tools for the job does anyone know if there are any adjustment nuts on the handbrake lever inside the car? The Yellow Racing brake system on the car was specified with the inboard handbrake system so not sure if there is any adjustment there. Normally I'd give it to the guy who does my mechanical work but he is booked solid so the MOT will be due before he can do it. So I've booked/hired a couple of hours on the ramp to F**k about myself.

For Mot's we find it very rare that a car fails on handbrake cables, normally its the calipers, cylinders(on drums) or simple adjustment/arm seizing on the shoes.

For the record, It's dead easy to adjust the handbrake cable up if anyone needs to adjust it. Unclip and lift the handbrake gator slide it forward, there is a threaded length with nut just tighten it up. Jack the rear wheels to ensure no rubbing and hey presto it's done.
