F56 Mini rear bumper/parking sensors.
Discussion
We have a 2017 F56 Mini Cooper 1.5 petrol with the JCW styling pack, great car except the rear bumper has recently got badly damaged after a reversing incident with the gate post.
I have acquired a replacement bumper in the correct Moonstone grey, the only difference being the replacement comes with the plastic trim incorporating parking sensors. Easy enough to swap over the non-parking sensors trim off the old bumper but how easy would it be to get those sensors on the new bumper operational?
Would the wiring and software already be installed making it a simple plug-in job, or will this need loads of wiring and expensive reprogramming?

No, it won't be plug & play, but an el-cheapo set off ebay should fit nice & easy if you have the bumper off anyway.
The replacement bumper already has the sensors in place, so do I just buy the wiring harness then it will 'beep' when reversing, or does it need setting-up. I'm wanting it to be a 'factory' set up.Like I said, no it won't be plug & play.
As a minimum you will need the correct ecu for it (BCM, I think it is called) and the wiring, and ONLY if it classed as "retrofittable" by BMW you will then need it all to be coded to the car.
If it isn't then you will likely need lots more money/time/luck to get it working.

My R56 Cooper s had been retro fitted with parking sensors from these

Worked well with bleeper and two small led displays one in middle of rear headlining just above hatch opening another on front dash next to windscreen.
Sensors looked like standard BMW/Mini ones. Rears didn't work when first got car so rang them for some info were really helpful on phone. Small control unit hidden behind trim in boot and presume another somewhere at front of car.. Indy managed to fix it but looks like you can buy control units separately and think these will work with the sensors you already have in bumper.
When searching for supplier found others that could integrate into Nav display but at a price.

Understood, I'll leave them off if that's the case, cheers for the clarification. As a minimum you will need the correct ecu for it (BCM, I think it is called) and the wiring, and ONLY if it classed as "retrofittable" by BMW you will then need it all to be coded to the car.
