I'm currently looking at a 2015 Cooper S. It has all my must have options bar heated seats. It was the cross leather seats. Do these have the element already installed and can I just add the loom and a switch or it it a much bigger job?

Why is it such a pain shopping for second hand cars...at least one option you wanted won't be there smile

You've got a couple of options: a) pay for the privilege of having the perfect spec by spending more on a new car or b) compromise

Have you tried using news Now to search for car- poor at being able to select particular options but can specify year, no doors, price etc to bring together a lot of cooper s from a lot of different sources. Even including heated seats in title doesn't mean it has heated seats so matter of clicking on each car and checking if has heated seats(Control F to find).

Lot dealers aren't on Autotrader (which News Now doesnt pick up any way)

Poor user interface but can help to find cars that aren't elsewhere.

This may work/or not for 2015 petrol mini

One I found with heated seats just as an example (from photos cant see heated seats mentioned in description)

Found my high spec Cooper S using this from a BMW Mini dealer (Mini boston) that wasnt advertised on the other main sites at the time

Hard work searching but worth it if you find the right spec car at the right price

This one looks very high spec with HUD + other rare options

Never tried them myself but seen something similar in Aldi/Lidl occasionally.

We have just had this. Picking up a F55 MCS from Sytner Sheffield tomorrow. Got a good deal. An impressive set up and they have been great.

The better half was specific on what she wanted. We have to go 5 door (trading in our R56 MCS 3 door) but it had to have the JCW aero kit. Well the car is full spec with heated seats being the only thing missing. Who the hell specs a heated screen but not seats!

Thanks all, very useful.

I'm after and 2014 or 15 Mini Cooper S under 50k miles

Heated seats
the media XL pack (though nav not essential)
LED lights - do I need these?
Heated screen would be nice

I’d say the LED lights and Media XL are essential. They just look dated with out. Especially inside.

Out of those it has to be the top one, good spec inc heated screen and adaptive cruise control (although we turn our off most of the time)

LED's are a must, as is Media XL and if leather it needs heated seats. Heated screen is nice to have too, everything else you can live without.

Heated seats were essential for me with the cross punch leather. I also specced the heated screen(I used to love that on my old Fords). I went for LED headlights and they are very bright(especially compared to the halogens on my old E90 330i).

Only got the small screen(not XL) but I went for navigation with it and I do like the sport mode where you get the pops and bangs.

I often browse the F56 Cooper S in the classifieds and I was shocked at how the specs vary so much, although with hindsight(I specced £5k worth of options on mine) I wouldn't do that again because of the depreciation of the Mini.

They make a great secondhand buy though and that is what I'd do if I wanted another one for sure.

That top one is a nice spec for sure.

yes

They do sound a little bit pony on the standard exhaust in fairness.
