So, I have purchased a pair of Corbeau Clubsports to fit in my car, and was wondering if anybody else had done this, and what they'd done about the seatbelt mounts, occupancy sensors etc.

Hi there - I have a pair of Cobra Nogaros on order from back in Nov. Not quite the same obviously, but I'd done a little bit of pre-work on what I may need to do...

I'm told that my Cobras may come complete with new (neater) seatbelt clasps so the standard clasps would be redundant. The new clasps will not have seatbelt sensors, nor will the passenger seat have an occupancy sensor, so I will need one of these for the passenger side for seat occupancy sensor bypass (in effect the passenger seat is always programmed as 'occupied') and includes a seatbelt warning bypass as well to stop the warning light and audible 'bong': https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Passenger-Seat-Occupanc...

NB. I don't know whether the pre-tensioner elements need to stay so as not to throw a warning, or I need to add pretensioner simulators to prevent any warning light. One thing still to look into when the seats arrive and I confirm if I am no longer using the standar Mini clasps wired with pretensioners.

I do know will also need a pair of these to stop the airbag light coming on: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-9-OHMS-SRS-AIRBAG-RES... as the new seats have no airbag.

The alternative to the above is to have the car coded for 'sports seats' which removes the need for these additional items.

I'm not an expert as I haven't done this yet so I'll also take onboard any help/advice you get on here...

I dont know how different the R56 is compared to the R53 seat wise, but I fitted these in my R53 pretty easily. I unbolted the sliders from the original seats and bolted the Corbeau side mounting brackets to them. I had to cut some bits out of the side mounts slightly to cover the sliding mechanism, but they bolted straight in nicely.

You and me both! Have a pair of custom Corbeaus being fitted by Edd and co on Saturday morning, and am intending to report back.

I have the fused resistors as a first try, and a friend with a coding app as a fallback.

Well, have you chaps got them in?

My Cobras came. They look fantastic, but mix up with the heating - they don't have it, so now trying to get that sorted before I think about fitting.

I turned up just as you were leaving Neil! Heard about the issues that the guys had with yours which is a shame frown

So, they're in!
Currently have got an airbag & seat occupancy light, but I'm just happy for them being in finally.
Was a bit fun and games trying to get them to fit, took around 4 hours in the end to do both seats.

They look comfy. You should be able to sort the warning lights with resistors/seat occupancy bypass or a recode for sports seats. I've bought the bits off ebay ready to go if/when I get my seats sorted.
