Mini Coupe 2014 stop/start issue
Discussion
Hi
We’ve just picked up a new to us mini coupe s with 50k on the clock. Having had a new mini before, I’m aware of all the reasons why it might not operate from the manual but still no joy. There is no warning light that it is disabled and no other faults. On the old country man we had similar which turned out to be a failed wire so with this in mind I have poked about under the bonnet. The only thing I can see is what looks like a small vacuum hose off the intake, nothing else.
Does anyone know if that might be related or any other suggestions? My main mini dealer fixed it last time, it’s just getting the car there!
Thanks
Alex

to have a battery last that long it did well, my Mini is used for teaching, does loads of miles a day so gets a decent charge and sometimes on really cold mornings if not used for a day (with dash cam and alarm draining battery) will sometimes take 2-4 hours of running before stop/start kicks in
