Mini Clubman F54 Front Bumper or Front Arch Removal

Has anyone removed a bumper on a new shape F54 Clubman?
I am stuck trying to free the front end of the wheel arch where it meets the bumper. The white poppers on the arch haven't been a problem, but the black clips that are part of the edge of the arch are infuriating and fragile and I think there must be some other sort of clip at the bottom fixing it to the chin spoiler/bumper. Not sure whether I need to take the wheels off to get the wheel arch liners pulled back, I may have to resort to this. I've had a look at the parts catalogue and looked at pics of used wheelarch parts but nothing is clear enough, videos on youtube relate to the F56 or skip the bit I am stuck on. So has anyone managed to remove a clubman bumper or front wheel arch and is able to offer any advice on how to separate the arch from the bumper??
