I’m currently looking at buying an approved used Mini Clubman Cooper SD .
Most seem to have 18”wheels on run flats.
I’ve test driven a 1.5 petrol Cooper on 17s and the ride seemed ok.
Is it still Ok on 18s?

My partner has a Cooper D on 17s with non run flats, and we find it very comfortable, we've had a loaner on 19" JCW's and that rode well too. Haven't tried a F54 clubman on 18s but the suspension on the car is capable enough to handle 19s with RFTs so I think you'll be fine on 18s.

My wife has an F54 Cooper S on 18" wheels, off the top of my head I don't know if they are RF's (we've only had the car a few days and I can't remember what the spec was when we placed the order back in July), but so far find it very comfortable. Drove from Dorset to Yorkshire and back at the weekend and it was perfectly fine, settles well on the motorway and not too harsh on bumpy lanes.

(Far better than her previous Cooper SD on 17" non-RF, albeit that was a 3dr so not a like-for-like comparison)

I think the 18s and 19s come with runflats as standard, not sure if you can delete them on a factory order. The ride is really good on the latest Clubman, I guess it's less mini-like, but it's comfortable and composed.

Not sure if that is true anymore ours has not got run flats fitted.
To the op, the ride in the jcw with 18” wheels is ok (standard suspension)

Thanks all.
Some of the cars I have been looking at are advertised with run flats some with the mobility kit so no run flats.
