F56 Diesel Strange Clicking Sound When Turning Engine Off
Discussion
Hi all,
My 2015 Mini Cooper Diesel has just started making this really strange clicking sound and I'm looking for some help to locate what's causing it.
As soon as I turn the engine off, the weird fast clicking sound begins - happens every time.
Its also important to note it makes the same sound randomly whilst actually driving the car.
Here are a couple of videos I recorded earlier, one from inside the car and one from the engine bay.
I've kind of focused on the passenger side of the engine in the video as I'm certain that's the area the sound is coming from.
I would say it sounds more electrical rather than something mechanical.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers.

SOLVED:
For anyone who has the same problem and has stumbled across this - The problem was the throttle housing. Inside it has some plastic cogs that move about to reset the TPS, they were very worn with missing teeth. Picked up whole replacement throttle housing from a car with very little mileage and noise has disappeared.
