Anyone tried one of these? :-

States +10bhp with dyno chart to back the claim, though noted as only for use on a mapped car ("This valve is only recommended for MINI's that have been remapped and is not suitable for stock engines.").

If I could get another 10bhp on my current 270bhp, it may be nice. Cost is £210.

Don't want the hissing and chuffing, so would be the the recirculating version rather than the atmospheric variant (also shows better power).

"Performance is enhanced due to these Turbosmart valves minimising boost leakage and maintaining a rapid response to ensure the maximum amount of boost is held at any given time. Target boost will be achieved without putting any extra stress on the turbo and wastegate."

How does it work then? I remember back in the day all those kak bleed valves that leaked boost from the vacuum hose going to the ECU to fool it into allowing more boost. This is obviously more high tech and controlled by the ECU itself and replaces the standard Mini item with something better...
