R56 MCS water in footwell
Discussion
No surprise really with the current conditions, but it’s never happened before. Car has also been standing for two weeks as we have been away.
What are the usual culprits? Door seal seems good. There is no damp above the bottom of the door. The little external scuttle drain hole is clear. Any ideas?

Driver or passenger side?
There's a few places to check after the doors...
- The scuttles below the windscreen (where the battery is, etc). You can easily undo these, lift off the tops and check for water, leaves, check the seals etc
- Any cables in and out (so bonnet release etc). Check grommets are all in place, look for wet patches.
- I've also heard tales of blocked AC evaporators causing water to exit into the cabin.
I think the R53 used to suffer from leaks in the A-Pillars. Don't know if it's the same on the R56 but might we worth checking.
Other than that, going front to back and checking every single drain hole and removing leaves and crud anywhere you find it. Really important you solve it though, as R56s suffer horrible electrical gremlins if water is making it's way into the cabin. First sign is usually issues with the windows taking on a life of their own
Hope that helps - good luck
