So my F60 Countryman JCW is due to go back in one year and it needs 4 new tryes already (2 worn on the front and one huge nail noticed by the dealer in one of the rears). Car hasn't got run flats and the only Star Rated tyre by BMW is the Pirelli P Zero (what's fitted). I'm keen to fit Michellin (not star rated) and was wondering if this is a problem when returning the car. No one at the dealer seems to have a bloody clue, other than a comment by the not-so-helpful-woman on the service desk "dunno, i fink it needs a star"

Oh, and I also need new pads on the front... I seem to be doing well for just 12,000 miles rolleyes These Mini's seem delicate.

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by star rating.

Approved by BMW for use on that particular car.

Their so-called rigorous testing.

Only one tyre has it (non runflat) in that size. Pirelli P Zero.

Not an expert on pcp but cannot believe they would look that far at the car when handing it back, our mini has P7’s fitted from new which are not particularly brilliant in the wet so will be putting Michelin pilot sport next, personally I would replace with what you want.

I completely agree nothing to worry about. There are a few articles online about returning a vehicle to the finance company try to find those they give detail about dents, scratches alloy damage etc.
