R58 JCW Coupe Doug Whalen Interior Upgrades

Exciting times - just had the photo below emailed from the States of my freshly machined JCW handbrake sleeve!



I've also ordered a matching polished gear knob with the Mini logo engraved on there. Will post some pics of that as well when both arrive.

Doug does some fantastic designs and it seems he can engrave almost anything on there and finish in polished, bead blasted, brushed, knurled finishes, including combiniations of these together.

Hopefully the new polished gear knob and handbrake lever in conjunction with the retrimmed alcantara wheel (done by Royal - and also beautiful with red stitching) will gretly enhance all the driving touch points.

Doug, as well as being an engineering perfectionist is a very pleasant and communicative chap to deal with too so all good.

Will post some more pics when I have them in my grubby little hands

Here's a pic of the new gear knob and handbrake handle fitted. The qualty and tactility are fantastic - highly recommended. Thanks Doug for some truely beautiful upgrades.

Looks great. I've had a metal gear knob in the past and they can be a nightmare when its really hot or cold. Good luck!
