Cooper s r53 low power
Discussion
So I have a 2003 Mini Cooper s and I’ve added an airtec intercooler and also kavs 17% reduced pulley also has a k&n air filter in I went to get it remapped and it was seriously underpowered normally standard they are 168bhp but mine came out at 152hp and they only mananged to add 5hp more to my car so I want to no why mine is so underpowered? Any help would be appreciated!
2003 is normally 162 to start with, unless it has the later (post 2005 normally) Teflon supercharger fitted.
There is no-one on here who can help you answer a question like that, but my guess would be that it has all been done incorrectly.
I have done little more than you, and have 220 bhp.

Not wishing to depress you further, but I have very similar. Car is a 2005 facelift, not a JCW, 112k miles, no engine rebuild.
17% pulley
Manifold with no pre-cat (but not a 'sports' manifold with matched length long primaries and so on)
Cat back resonated Milltek
JCW 380 injectors
Standard cam
Standard head
No mapping undertaken
and had a baseline run done a week ago on 10th April, to see where I'd got to.
Crank Power: 211.8HP @ 6,250
Crank Torque: 200.8 lb-ft @ 4,100
Wheel Power: 184.2HP @ 6,500
Wheel torque: 174.6 lb-ft @ 4,100

Be interesting to see the dyno graph. There is no-one on here who can help you answer a question like that, but my guess would be that it has all been done incorrectly.

All I have done over the OP is 440cc injectors & 200-cell cat & JCW cat-back.

Where was the “remapping “ done?
Surely they would have an idea why it’s down on power?
Did they do a leak down test before hand?
