Early Mini (R52) Convertible - Roll hoop/Tonneau options ???

Hi folks.... Anyone know if there are aftermarket options or modification available for the rear roll hoop/headrests on the early Mini Cooper S Convertible ??
Or perhaps some kind of tonneau option that is available to make the factory roll hoop less 'noticeable'

I think its just an appalling design solution and (especially) from the rear, the set up just looks ridiculous.
