Just getting used to my Clubman S and noticed that when I press the boot release button, only the drivers side section opens, you still have to pull the handle to open the passenger side one. Is this correct?
My old R56 Cooper S had a JCW back box and when in sport mode, it really popped, this one has a standard exhaust and doesn't pop a great deal, does the sport button do anything extra?

It's had a few issues in the month we've had it, but I've enjoyed the last couple of days driving it around. It has a lot of torque steer and I'm not sold on the sticky tyres the previous owner put on, I'm sure they're great in the dry, but anything else and it spins up in 3rd gear

Yes that’s how the doors work on them.

The pops and bangs are less on the newer r55 and r56 than the earlier models

JCW back boxes can be fitted but are reasonably expensive and never come up used. Mine has a sports cat and i've found that V Power can make a difference, mine with the sports cat is louder than an R56 JCW.

Thanks for the replies. I have an issue with the rear boot at the moment, the passenger side one refuses to open, nothing happens when you pull the handle.
It's very strange
