Picked this up the other night after spending every day since August on UCNI, Autotrader, eBay & Pistonheads looking for something. Dealer messed about with a hatchback Impreza STI and since then anything I seen was a bucket of rust, bad history/no proof of a rebuild, no oil to be seen or just plain stupid money which I wasn't prepared to drop on an 'old' car with an interior from the mid 90s, getting old and whilst not an S-Class the Fiesta ST180 did have a decent interior and some toys which I wanted to keep.

Drove past this on the way to work each morning and it always caught my eye so took it for a test drive a few weeks ago. Just hilarious to drive, it's quicker than the ST for sure and the suspension isn't as stiff (getting/feeling old) so it's more bearable on the new commute.

It has 3 driving modes, Eco, Mid & Sport/Track. Eco...who cares, Mid for town/school runs I suppose? It has been in Sport/Track every time with the party piece the JCW Pro exhaust valves fully open. Valves closed = Sport, open = Track

Spec:
Chilli Red w/ Carbon Black
Sport Seats
Heated mirrors & windscreen washer jets
Antracite roof lining
Piano black interior trim
Excitement park
Connect pack
Sport interior pack
Storage pack
Interior lights pack
Pedestrian safety whatever that does
Driving modes
Auto headlights w/ rain sensor
Cruise control

Auto A/C / Dual Climate Control
JCW spoiler
JCW leather steering wheel w/ MF controls

17" Track Spoke alloys

Plan is just to dechrome the exterior, Cotswolds BMW have a great deal atm on a black front grille surround so will be ordering that up soon, lots of interior carbon bits to add too over time!

Before pickup, wanted the text removed from the sides

Did you do the 'belt line'?

I've only seen some tape/vinyl stuff, not sure how long that would last?

I was a little nervous at first taking the front bumper off to fit the new black grill because my spanner skills are very basic! In the end it went well and I got a fair bit of satisfaction from it.

I also purchased a black piece of the stick on stuff to do the straight chrome bit on the bumper too.

O/P - for info, you can get the car to start in Sport mode (among other things) using the Bimmercode app and a little bluetooth interface.

I've it done to my MCS rather than the hardship of having to reach over and do it each time i start the car!!

Yeh debating whether black or red for the strip along the middle!

Was looking at Carly for this stuff, at the moment I'm just put ignition on, into sport, Bluetooth button hit then starting up to annoy the neighbours a little more!

Great car, just sold my JCW F56 for an M4.

I’ve got a JB+ tuning box I’m looking to move on if you want a little more grunt. Very easy plug & play with just the one connection. Made a huge difference, just have it that extra zing.

Bluetooth exhaust is awesome isn’t it! Miss it on my current M, but can not justify the outlay for the 4 piped version....well not yet anyway!
