Mini JCW F56 2018 - Pro Exhaust.
Discussion
Hello Everyone... I have a question about the JCW Pro Exhaust and fitment to my car.
First - need to let you all know I'm in Australia.
Okay the build date of my car was 02/18, it has the newest engine and transmission but its not an LCI so doesn't have the Union Jack rear lights or the full circle front LED's or new infotainment system.
Now...Ive been told that the JCW Pro exhaust won't fit to my vehicle - BMW Australia are saying its because of emissions (which is fair enough), but as a retro fitted part will it fit? (I'll have to buy it and ship it from the UK!)
My question therefore - has anyone got a 2018mini (LCI or otherwise) with the Newest engine and transmission and fitted a JCW exhaust.. I like the standard exhaust don't get me wrong but the JCW Pro Exhaust is outstanding with sound...
This is my first Mini JCW, previously Ive had Lotus Elise's (Supercharged ones).. Never had an issue with changing exhausts before but wondered if someone can provide more info...
Thanks Everyone.

Good question and one i'd love a definitive answer on.
Like you my car is registered Feb 2018 so falls in to the same area.

From what I believe the pro exhaust was stopped being offered due to noise regs November 2017 and dealers were not allowed to supply with a new car ,now the engine prior to and after that date are the same although I believe there were some slight engine changes to the LCI models( mainly cooling and Ecu software) with regards to emissions from March 2018 but surely the exhaust layout would be the same

And therein lies the problem - it "should" all fit and work, but it would be an expensive mistake to make.I'd be inclined towards a Milltek or Remus one instead, but the Pro exhaust is likely to have a better resale value if you wanted to swap it off on when it comes the time to change.

Don't the LCi models have a GPF on them ? Mini won't sell you an exhaust for any car built after Novemeber 2017 but i don't see any reason why it shouldn't fit.
No only cars after 01/09/18 are fitted with the GPF which there aren't any as they stopped making mini jcw in June 18 and no news if and when production will start againGassing Station | New MINIs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
