hi
I run a 66 plate cooper clubman as a 2nd car and rarely get the chance to drive it.
having driven it today for the first time in ages, I cannot believe how bad the ride it on 225 40 18 Pirelli tyres.
Has anyone swapped to a taller profile and if so was it worth it in terms of ride?
what are the other options>>?
thanks

Dave.

Smaller wheels and non-runflats.

As long as a manufacturer approved tyre size you will be fine warranty wise. Swapped run flats for non run flats on our F56 and made a massive difference albeit it is on 17s. Runs on 16 inch wheels in the winter and ride improvement was less marked than ditching the run flats so maybe a tyre change is all that is needed.

I swapped my F56 from 18” Run Flats to Michelin Non Run Flats and it has made an improvement to the ride comfort.
