Hi All,

I have a 2008 MCS which has recently suffered from an Engine Fault: Reduced Power warning.

After many trips to the garage having had various parts changed such as turbo temp sensors, and various valves, and still not clearing the fault, the garage has advised that my turbo needs changing completely. They think that it’s not holding boost and has had its day.

Has anyone suffered from a similar experience? Can anyone advise of a mini specialist in the Berkshire/Surrey/Hampshire area for a second opinion?

And also for the price of changing a turbo is it worth me considering the JCW turbo as an alternative upgrade? All comments, opinions and recommendations welcomed :-)

Thanks Kev

Have they tried changing the electric valve on the turbo? Gives no boost and common for failing -only about £40 and ten minutes to change it out

Reduced power warning could be HPFP, it was on mine.

Need the codes read to confirm.
