Over fueling... mini one 57

My daughters mini’s engine management light keeps coming on.. the garage said it was due to fumes so we replaced the sensor and the CAT. But the light still keeps coming on ... they said the mini is over fueling.. any ideas ... thanks

Which sensor ? was it the front sensor ? was it a good quality sensor such as Bosch or NGK ? was it a cheap CAT ?

Are they air leaks, the 1.6 engine has a Mani Cat (exhaust manifold built in) and the exhaust heat shield includes the exhaust gasket and ideally should be replaced.

I would normally change the pre cat sensor and then go from there, has the garage told you the exact fault code ? Have they smoke tested it to check for air leaks ?
