Bit of help required, Mrs Phil Dicky has a new to her Mini Cooper S (2011)and after updating the car ipod we plugged it in to find the system sees the ipod but knack all else happens. Google suggests we need one of these,

Is this all it is, £10 from your local friendly eBay seller?
Also hers has Nav does that make any difference?

Cheers

It should show up in media and also in Mini connected although you will need to download the app for that. You caa just use the standard iphone cable if you want, you only need the y cable if going through connected. With the older iphones you used to be able to watch films using the y cable.

You can stream wireless too but it will only support media or phone not both.

I have the same/similar lead to connect an Ipod in my 2012. I bought mine from BMW/Mini and it was a shed load more expensive than that ( about £25/30 if I remember correctly.

The ipod will show up on the stereo when connected, the song/album lists will show up on the stereo and it works a treat. You can operate the ipod from the stereo.

no worries
