Got a Mini Coupe with bonnet, roof and rear stripes. Most are faded badly and need attention especially roof and bonnet. The car is Blue with a black roof and the stripes are Black on the Blue and Blue on the Black.
Anyone replaced the stripes?
Anyone go OEM original?
Any other suppliers to recommend?
Is the fitting via soapy water method or straight stick on?
Does the colour match exactly the car colour or is it just close. The Blue should it match the car blue?
I found this place on eBay for stripes

- I live in NZ so can’t offer local knowledge.
When looking I think I found advice to get laminated vinyl stripes as they were more durable.
Have a google, I can’t find the exact site I was thinking of using now
signmyrideuk.com came up in a quick search.
Have a quick search in this forum too.

Confirm that getting the old ones off is a major issue; last time I had it done (same style over body stripes as the Coupé's) the roof was dented multiple times and the bonnet paint gouged. I was not happy (and it was a reputable detailer who had been commended on PH).
The replacements' application method will depend on their manufacturer. Personally I wouldn't recommend OEM ones due to their rapid decay and awkward removal.

I've had bits of mine done (Mini Coupe JCW) as and when needed. I've used OEM stripes. I did do one myself but it was just the small section around the front badge as I picked up a stone chip (did not use the soapy water method for this little one).
The rest of them were done at the dealer's but applied by a local sign company. You pay for the parts + £60 fitting. They have done a great job so far. On one occasion the dealer managed to mangle most of the bonnet, roof and rear upper spoiler stripes when they washed it. Must have been overzealous power washing as all the red pain also came out of teh JCW badges. These were replaced FOC. Needless to say, I don't let them wash it anymore.
Getting the alignment perfect I think is a professional job. I'd have a go with the soapy water myself (theoretically meaning you should be able to move into position) if they were cheap to buy but the OEM aren't. If you cock it up then spending £60 with a guarantee of perfect application / come back if not seems like money well spent. Oh, and of course they take the old ones off as well - my small one did come off easily enough though with patience and care.
