The Mrs has the above car (2013) and one of the rear springs has snapped (only 25k miles) but she swerves to find the potholes!.

I plan to replace both sides but the dealer wants £500+ for the pleasure which feels a bit rich for a relative simple job.

I will therefore do myself but struggling to find the parts!

Springs are quite easy but not the upper and lower pads which I thought I should change at the same time (ideally would want all supplied together). Am I being overly cautious and should I resuse the pads or can someone point me in the direction of a parts supplier who has them all in stock?

Thanks

Bmw/mini will be able to supply the parts. But I wouldn’t worry too much about the pads anyway - I’ve never seen them worn out or damaged on that model to need doing

I have always been pleasantly surprised at how reasonable genuine parts are vs pattern ones. They also fit a lot better too.

Just replaced one side myself to get her back on the road. £45 for the spring and less than a couple of hours spannering. Job done. You also don't need spring compressors if you have an extra pair of hands.

Appreciate I should replace in pairs but it's a low mileage car and the the spring had just snapped not worn.

Great service from Victoria Autoparts who delivered in 24 hours.
