JCW Cooper Coupe 2012 - colour coded arches??
Discussion
We have a 2012 JCW Coupe we will need to be selling, Im trying to put a value against it to decide if to sell privately or accept the stealers offer. Looking at others on approved use, they all have black plastic arches, ours are painted. Is this standard?
Are these cars desirable? what it worth? 55k great colour combo. Thanks

Painted arches were a factory option from around 2009 for the Mini.
Best way to judge its worth is to have a trawl of PH classifieds and Autotrader for similar cars but I'd imagine the Coupe would be quite a bit harder to shift than the Hatch so if the dealers offer is close it might be worth just taking it rather than months of hassle trying to sell up.

The JCW will have come with the JCW bodykit from the factory which includes black plastic arches and bumper lips.
If they've been painted then this will have been done aftermarket, an acquired taste to some but I can't see many people being too worried about it. What colour is the car?

I've only seen painted arches once, and this was an R56 JCW on fresh plates at the dealers awaiting pickup.
The owner had a special order via the dealer, but don't know if the paint was factory or arranged by the dealer at a local bodyshop. They'd had a few other changes too, so suspect the latter, and it was a very handsome motor.
