Clubman Cooper S R55 towbar
Discussion
hi all, i have searched and searched for a definative answer whether i can fit a towbar to my new S, its a 2008 and has twin exhausts but with one each side of the rear of the car, i cant see anything that would interfere with fitting a normal clubman towbar would i be right in getting one of those? i dont want to tow a caravan or anything heavy just a small trailer to go to the tip now and again and a bike rack occasionally. Many thanks in advance for your wisdom!
The official Mini towbar is available:

The model availability list include "MINI Clubman Cooper S From 2007" so should do the job for you.

OUCH that's too rich for me! £658. I'm on a very tight budget and have had ebay/amazon towbars on several cars before without any trouble, as I say its only going to be very occasional use and hopefully detachablehttps://www.mini.co.uk/en_GB/home/accessories/find...

Can be used for trailer weights of up to 750 kg (with a nose weight of up to 50 kg). With trailer stability control. When the ball head is removed, the trailer tow hitch cannot be seen.
For models without John Cooper Works Aerodynamics package (option 3A1). Not for the MINI Cooper S.
The chassis plate does not list a towing weight on the Clubman hence its not type approved for towing.
