Things to look out for....

Would one of these be a good buy. Looking to do a few miles in it. Few hundred per week....seem good value. Any help appreciated.

I know you are seeking advice/experience, but you need to drive it yourself to see if it suits you because they are pretty much Marmite cars according to many who own/have owned them.

I’m more wondering if they are prone to any significant faults / repairs at this age / mileage or are they pretty sturdy engines?

FWIW I drive a Lotus so am used to the odd niggle!

No, don't even think about it. Buy the petrol version, if you must have diesel and on 200 miles a week you are nowhere near needing diesel. It's the 1.6 hdi/tdci engine and its rubbish.

MOT history looks good. It does not have many options. The lower powered diesel engine really does not suit the character of the MINI - but if the price and running costs appeal - it looks like a good deal.

There are not many reliability issues on that year of car (unless you are looking at a Cooper S)
