No More Hatch SD

Hi when speaking to staff at Williams Mini on collection of my partners Cooper we were chatting and the hatch sd has been discountinued apparently they have a couple on order. Then you can only get that engine in the Clubman or Countryman. Looks like I will be keeping mine!

That's odd, did they give any reason why?

No they didn’t know why but they were adamant they said now they could not order any more now.

Whether or not its directly linked, my local dealer was telling me they have been targeted by MINI to reduce the amount of new diesel MINIs sold to 7% of new car sales.

This may all be part of an active strategy to phase diesel MINIs out?

Yep Diesel only available in the Cooper
They also got rid of the 1.2 petrol model

Guess they are just keeping what sells £££

They got rid of the 1.2 engine from the entry level model. It now runs with the 1.5 litre BMW engine detuned to 101BHP.
