Hi anyone running these? I will need 2 new ones on the front soon but one of my rears is losing pressure so maybe looking at all 4. Currently running Dunlop sport max non run flat all round but don’t really want to spend the £450 for those. Car is 2014 Cooper sd 5 door.
All opinions greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Actually, they aren't a very good tyre.

Go to tyrereviews.com & do your homework, pay particular attention to the tyre tests done by the big players for "proper data" rather than amateur opinions as these are TOTALLY dependant on the car & the driver.

If you want budget, Rainsport 3 are among the best.
Mid-range, Dunlop RT sport maxx 2 are a good call.
Conti sport contact 5 or 6, Goodyear F1 Assy 3, or Michelin MPS4 are typically the premium options.

Personally my opinion is that tyres are designed for just one thing, keeping your car on the road, so get the best you can afford.

Thanks for that cannot disagree with you. I thought the Dunlop’s were more top of the range interestly Goodyear eagle f1 are £12 a corner cheaper than the Dunlop’s at my local formula1 tyres might give those a go.

The Rainsport 3 seem to only be available in a higher speed rating will I need to inform my insurance company?

Not if you are going higher.

As a rule of thumb the speed rating on the tyres should be above the top speed of the car.

The caveat being that the speed rating defines the maximum speed that the tyre has been tested to sustain over extended periods, and as our speed limit is 70mph why would we need higher?

Stick with the rule of thumb.

Decided to stick with the Dunlop Sport Maxx ordered 2 for the front for just over £100 each.
