I am after some advice if anyone can help me.

I have an R53 with many mods & want to fit an uprated fuel pump.

Mine is a "green top" and the one I want to fit needs modifications to the "in tank" bit to allow it to fit.

As such for simplicity I was going to buy a full replacement 2nd handie to mod & then just drop this in when completed.

The "green top" pumps are more than the "white top" pumps form the non-supercharged versions, but what is the difference?

If it is just the actual pump then that is a no-brainer of course.

Does anyone know the answer.

Don't know the difference between the green vs. white topped fuel pumps. (The fuel pump for the S model probably has a higher capacity and maybe a higher output pressure, but that's just me guessing. As for physical differences... I won't even attempt a guess.)

This article:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/MINI/17-...

lists a book:

How to Maintain and Modify your new MINI

that may be of some use/value to you.

Thanks for that, I am also guessing the same and as the white topped ones are cheaper & I am replacing the actual pump inside I am going to get the white topped one & when I have modded the bottom to fit I can swap the bottom end with minimal car unavailability.

I had seen the Pelican Parts walk-through when searching for the job method myself, their coverage of such jobs is invariably helpful.
