Wondering as i have a low mikeage one 27k and debating whether to keep it or sell.

Reason i wonder ia it kinda has a retro classic feel to it now compared to the much bigger modern ones

Its simple and light great to drive

Not much in terms of gizmos to go wrong

So could cars like this be highly sought after in future esp low mileage ones?

Luke.

No.

The GP maybe. Not thing else.

Early GPs are strong.

Yes, eventually!

Look at the price of the last Classic Rover Mini Coopers from c.1990 to 2001. Lower mileage Cars are £15k upwards - up 50% in last couple of years.

The Supercharged R53 JCW and GP will be the next target of the collectors.

Look how quickly sub-50k mile R53 cars are selling.

Generally, make that most of the time, a car is worth as much as it ever will be right now. This applies to your JCW.

While it might appreciate in value -- and I could win the lottery -- you still have to register it, insure it, keep it maintained, and drive it at least enough to keep it from deteriorating. And driving it means it is at risk of being involved in an accident.

The odds are instead of being a collector car the JCW just becomes at some point an old car with low miles.

You need another car to serve as your transportation car. So by hanging on to the JCW you keep some amount of money tied up in the JCW that you could put work with I dare say a better chance of reaping some worthwhile return on your money.

id say the later N18 R56 would be more likely given the issues people report with the early cars

but not something i would hang onto think it would make money, a GP i would
