The last 2 days mine has started to misfire on start up, almost like its getting too much fuel. Looks like i'll need to get the codes read, well i know one relates to the cat (sports cat) maybe the lambda sensor has finally called it a day ..... I'm sure the fuel pump is on its last legs too.... ah the fun and joys mini's bring. (its a N18 Cooper S)

The misfire on cold start up was the high pressure fuel pump on my car when it happened.

Pretty sure that is what's wrong with mine, it's done well, it's 7 years old and covered 58k. When it's low on fuel and cold it whines a little, occasionally goes into limp and the fault code for low fuel pressure was first seen 3 years ago.
