Countryman Spotlight Question

Hi Guys,
New to Mini here, last week we picked up my wife's Countryman Cooper SD 2014 on 24k miles,so far we are really enjoying the car.
I am looking to make a few changes to the car, the first being that i would like to install the two spotlights on the grill but i am having a hard time trying to work out if i need a new grill, mini parts department tell me that i will but when i look online i can find loads of pictures of Minis with lights fitted on what looks to be the same grill as mine please can somebody help me with this?
