Mini 2010 Air con has stopped blowing ANY air

My girlfriend took her 2010 Mini Cooper Diesel into Kwikfit for a service and MOT. When she got the car back the air con wasn't working and the car was struggling to pull in 2nd gear. Took it back to kwikfit who have ordered another air filter. But Kwikfit have told her that they dont know why the air con isn't blowing any air but its probably an electrical fault and they cant fix it and aren't responsible for fixing it. Not impressed as it was working fine before the car was serviced. I think they broke it or caused a loose wire.
Ani advice on what could be the cause and how to fix it? The aircon unit still displays the temp and fan speed as normal but there is NOTHING blowing through it - no hot or cold air.
