Is there any more news on this? The most recent information I can find is a piece on Motoring File from January:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2017/01/12/exclusive-m...

Thinking about a JCW to replace my M135i, a recent move means I no longer need to put in the miles.

Nothing recent, there was a fairly good discussion about it that kicked off about half way through my F57 thread:

Production ready cars are out testing, so won't be long.

I'd still put money on Frankfurt in September as the unveiling, deliveries Oct/Nov.

Apparently it's not quite that soon, March 2018 the LCI will be delivered - I'm surprised.

Although, some bits are filtering through already - new MINIs being delivered now have the new fuel gauge.

That looks so much better than what they were launched with.

+1 on that, old one looks like an afterthought.

I collected my new JCW hatch last Saturday and it has the new fuel gauge and a toggle switch for the sport/green mode instead of the switch near the gear stick.

No other changes as far as I can see at the moment although I haven't had a Mini for a while to compare it to.

Great car - I'm very pleased with it.

They've also moved the drive mode selector from around the base of the gear knob to where the HUD switch was fitted. Shame as I thought it was a neat touch...don't know where the HUD controls have gone?

There's no switch now, it's just in the menu system.

Are you sure? I heard it was now a toggle on the dash. It would be a right faff to have to go into the menus to change from Mid to sport.

No, the HUD controls are now in the menu. Sport/Mid/Green is a toggle switch.

Suspect the announcement must be soon, as the Mini UK configurator has two new special editions - the Mini Seven for three- and five-door variants. These models have, historically, preceded a new model announcement.

The Seven appears to be entirely cosmetic; paint, wheels and decals on the outside and a custom Malt Brown colour line and Seven signature trims on the interior. From the pictures, the sports seats and Visual Boost radio options are also included. Overall, not a huge saving over optioning your own from the base Cooper/Cooper S but if you like the colours available it would be a good starting point.

The seven has been available for a while

I fancy a set of the alloys but haven't been able to find some frown

I also picked my new Cooper S Hatch up last week and it has this fuel gauge and the toggle switch on the dash, I prefer the new gauge over the old one too.

I also prefer the fuel economy over the 330i it replaced as well!! biggrin

According to this article, the real LCI seems to be scheduled for September production and onward.

http://www.motoringfile.com/2017/05/12/mini-dct-is...

As far as I know

1. New fuel gauge redesign (done from July production and onward)
2. Sport/Eco switch to toggle to the far right side (done from July production and onward)
3. HUD on/off control from toggle to system menu (done from July production and onward)
4. Color changes of speedometer at night from orange to white (done from July production and onward)
5. HUD design tweaked with extra info available (done from July production and onward)
6. New wheel design (Sept~?)
7. New engines (Sept~?)
8. 6 speed trans to 8 speed DCT for S and JCW (Sept~)
9. 3 new colors (Sept~?)
10. Redesign of infotainment to reflect BMW styled mobile app stye? (Sept~?)
11. New front and rear bumper overhaul (Sept~?)
12. Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto support? (Sept~?)
13. New redesigned LED front lights? (Sept~?)

From how the F30 (BMW 3 series) sometimes implement new engines and idrive upgrades during mid-year, we might see this kind of thing on the minis with the 2018 LCI models.

I'm holding back from ordering one from now till after the Frankfurt motorshow next month.

I'm new to this forum, so please forgive if I gave vague info. Posting from stuffs I already know/confirmed to those from sources on the web.

Geez, that's a bummer.
