New jcw -white silver - opinions please
Discussion
Hi all I'm waiting for my new jcw which I've ordered in white silver with the red roof and caps. I saw one a while ago and liked it but haven't seen one for a while and I'm wondering if I've made the right choice.
Any opinions on white silver - good or bad welcome.
Anyone got one ?
I've also ordered chilli pack,media tech pack,sunroof,sun protection glass,heated seats,heated screen,red interior trim,folding mirrors.
Thanks.

Mine is ice silver.
2 years and 30,000 miles later and it's been great. One of the first so came with sport auto which has been fine for the daily commute. Manual would be better though (and what I ordered but that's another story). Very good daily driver and really good on B roads and even better on track days. Chassis is go kart like, the engine is revvy and the brakes are really good. Ice silver is the best colour IMO (I believe the fashionable term is "pops in the sun") and has worn really well. I went with black roof and JCW stripes but have seen one with red and it looked the business. The interior is a nice place to be. Downsides are the air vents keep your hands nice and cool (but not the rest of you) and the horn is very hit and miss (mainly miss) but the Harmon Kardon stereo sounds quality and iDrive works well. It is definitely not a long distance cruiser (drove from Chester to Thruxton which was not fun) but returns good mpg on local runs and the commute.
In 2 years it has cost me:
1 windscreen (£100)
2 front tyres. (£310)
Front break pads are imminent. (£250)
Had service included which is definitely worth it.
she is going later this year but if ordering again I'd go ice silver over black again with manual and exhaust upgrade.
You have chosen well. Enjoy your new car in good health.

you will love it, got one the beginning of the month and just to remind you what you will be getting ..
still have not decided whether to get the stripes put on the bonnet yet.
Thanks for all the replies.still have not decided whether to get the stripes put on the bonnet yet.
Dc- thanks for the photos - good to see the same spec.looks ace.
I was a bit worried as I saw an old paint sample of white silver and it looked a bit gold -which I did not want - but all the photos I've seen including on this thread don't show any gold in it. The salesman did say it does pick up the colours of some lights so in certain light may reflect a bit of gold but that's very different from looking gold all the time.
Anyway I'm reassured by all the comments - and good to know it weathers well.

Thanks for the good wishes.it seems like a cheap car to run. Mine will be used on a 30 mile each way a and b road commute with no dual carriageways so I'm hoping it'll be a lot of fun. At least I'll have cool hands! 2 years and 30,000 miles later and it's been great. One of the first so came with sport auto which has been fine for the daily commute. Just Ordered a cooper convertible in white silver, replaces a 2015 3 door hatch in volcanic orange. When did the rfl go from £20 a year to £160??
April 1st, it's now a flat rate across all emission bands (except 0 gCO2/km) and there's a surcharge on cars over 40000 that tapers off over 5 years. Linking low emissions to low RFL has achieved its goal, and now the revenue stream can be turned on again.Edited by L1OFF on Monday 26th June 12:31
