Air con on....no cold air, went to local garage to get a recharge and get informed it was empty, mechanic shows me a lime green discharge from front grill, and light vapour from the top of engine......looks like a stone may have had a go at it......

just under £400 quote from local garage just under £500 from Mini/BMW

That sounds about right. 'er indoors '07 Cooper had a pin prick hole in the condenser, took it into my aircon chappie who is very, very good. He stripped the front end, supplied and fitted a pattern condenser £160, refitted and checked and re-gassed/lubricated the system for £430 all in.

Cheers for that, the place i took it to recharged the empty system, and as soon as it turned on a miss came out, the UV light showed a spot of "green" where it was coming out....just in the correct place for a stone to have struck!
