I have just bought an r53 Cooper s (2006) & may have a feature that I can't seem to find anything on in the manual.
I have the multi function steering wheel & the CC definitely works so it is connected & functioning.
On the left "thumb-rest" there are 6 buttons, 2 of which are described as "used to switch between radio/telephone mode" or something similar & "open/close phone call" which makes me think I have bluetooth, alas I can find nothing in the manual about pairing or anything else.
Am I missing something?

It is quite possible that they just use the same multi-function steering wheel irrespective of whether the car has the particular feature. Years ago I had an E53 2004 BMW with a phone button on the steering wheel which didn't have Bluetooth or even wiring for a phone cradle, and while I have no experience of the R53, I imagine the same may be true for it. That in itself is helpful, I have now gone down a different route that hopefully will end up with a similar end result.
I have bought a bluetooth adaptor that plugs in there the CD changer input is that allegedly will give me bluetooth, it is encouraging that you find the buttons work hopefully mine will too.

Any luck? From memory I think I had to purchase an extra part to enable the steering wheel controls with the aftermarket head unit.I have bought a bluetooth adaptor that plugs in there the CD changer input is that allegedly will give me bluetooth, it is encouraging that you find the buttons work hopefully mine will too.
