Clubman Clubdoor won't open

Help!
The Clubdoor on my 2008 Clubman won't open.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what this could be?

Hi

Mine failed a couple of years ago, after driving through a deeper than expected puddle (this was maybe not directly linked as I did not often open the club door!) The lever did not seem to be grabbing anything (no clicking or friction). I followed various threads (including the one on NAM) but still no joy.

In desperation, I took the car to MINI. They quoted £250 to fix, but eventually found a cable inside the door had come loose and repaired that for £80 from memory.....
