Hi guys,
Having now bought my car I am planning a few jobs to give it a bit more life/performance and I am after any common tips on the job.

I am going to do the following all as a one'r & wondering if there are any short-cuts over & above common practice that I could benefit knowing. Also any other jobs that would be good to do as I will have the whole front off the car.

Remove S/C, inspect gears etc, refill & refit.
Replace pulley & belt with 17% reduction.
New throttle body bored out to 63mm.
Uprated I/C
Induction kit.
440cc injectors.
Adjustable FPR.
Colder plugs.

The bottom 5 are exceedingly obvious, just put them on here for completeness.

I am planning to lift the car, remove driver wheel/inner arch, bumper, rad/pump, jack up engine, remove pulley, remove S/C, inspect/fill up, replace etc.

I know there are other sub-steps etc, but don't want to make the question a full procedure for the job.

I personally wouldn't bother touching the throttle body, and for a pulley, I used the GTT interference fit as it's how the original is installed. No slip and never loose.

Induction kits vary in effectiveness, the plastic bodied original is probably the best at keeping exhaust manifold or engine heat away from intake air.

FPR is a good idea, not many people do this, but then mapping is more accurate.

It all depends what you're looking for I suppose

Thanks for that, although what I have said above is already a given, I was just wondering if, in anyone's experience there are other good things to tackle with the car off the road, up on stands & the front off.
