Removing driveshafts - Getrag 5-speed

So, the wife tells me her '55 Mini One Cab is making a 'weird noise' a few weeks back. I take it for a spin and there's a slight grumble but nothing too bad. Yesterday she tells me it's now screaming at her so she pops home, I take it for a spin, and it sounds like it's running a straight cut box! Jacked it up to take a look and spotted something odd...
On closer inspection I think it mat be buggered!
Anyway, started pulling all the bits off today and I'm almost there but I've a few questions:
1. everything I've read says bumper off, but I've removed everything except attached to the box except the 2 bottom bolts without removing the bumper. I assume I can just drop the box now through the bottom?
2. can I pull the driveshafts out without removing the struts/hubs or any ball joints?
3. do they just pull out?

Fair enough, when I was looking the places I called wanted an intact casing for exchange and wouldn't sell me one without an exchange.From memory there were only a couple of places that did recon boxes for these when I needed one, both with similar names. One was somewhere in the Midlands and had a good reputation, the other didn't....
