Is mad4mini in Leeds still the go to place ? Are there any similar specialist out there that come recommended ?
I used them just this week for my R53, had a fair bit of work done but I also take the wife's Mini Countryman there for routine servicing and MOT's, I recommend them highly. Will certainly be back again. GT3cs said:
I’m 30miles north of Newcastle and Mad4Mini were the best I could come up with for experience locally . If it’s just rountine servicing I think there’s probably a few closer .
Thanks mate, yeah it was more for someone to do modifications, I just use my local garage for servicing.E-bmw said:
What sort of modifications?
It can make a big difference as to where to recommend.
Mainly suspension, alignment, that sort of thing. Plenty of decent places for things like remaps. It can make a big difference as to where to recommend.
I used to use AK Automotive for my MX5s but the range of things they're offering seem to be going down and they seem more into the second hand parts / scrap business these days.

Remaps I would only use Bigfish in Stokesley for a Mini.

Suspension etc I wouldn't think to use a Mini specialist, rather a suspension specialist.

Do you know of any suspension specialists in the Newcastle area by any chance?Remaps I would only use Bigfish in Stokesley for a Mini.
So the Clubvan is back and very happy with the service . All front suspension , bushes , bearings , springs replaced. Subframe shot blasted and powder coated . Rear springs , shocks , discs , pads , calipers replaced . Full service , Lamda sensor , couple of pipes replaced , new high level brake light and some other bits and pieces . Sits nice now slightly lowered . Need to decide if going to the bother of fitting the Rotiforms . Will need spigot rings for hubs and I think adapter studs . Opinions ?
Pictures don’t appear to be uploading for some reason ?
